PACKET PICKUP
Packet pick-up allows athletes to “check-in” prior to the event. Packet pick-up will be available Thursday and Friday before race day. Please see details below. During packet pick-up, participants are given items such as race bib, official event t-shirt, and goodies from race partners.

If you're unable to pick up your packet, a proxy will be allowed to pick up your packet for you. The proxy MUST have a copy of your license and a copy of your race entry confirmation. If you're unable to pick up your packet on Thursday or Friday, we will open same day bib pick-up will be available starting at 7:00AM on Saturday, April 4 near the Crenshaw Mile start line — Nipsey Hussle Square (5817 Crenshaw Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90043) at the intersection of S. Crenshaw Blvd & Slauson Ave.
ELITE ATHLETE HEAT
Participation in the Invitational Mile is granted by invite only. Minimum qualifying time criteria is 6:00 minutes for women and 5:30 minutes for men. If you meet this criteria, please complete the Elite Athlete Registration form with your information and upload a recent and verifiable mile seed time within the 2025-26 calendar year. You will receive an email confirmation if you have been selected. Otherwise, you will be placed in the Open Mile. If you do not hear from race management by Friday, April 3, please assume you have not qualified for the Invitational Mile.
RACE DAY LOGISTICS
The Crenshaw Mile starts at Nipsey Hussle Square - the intersection of S. Crenshaw Blvd & Slauson Ave (5817 Crenshaw Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90043) and ends at the intersection of S. Crenshaw Blvd & W. Vernon Ave. USATF & Hershey’s RunJumpThrow will take place near the Crenshaw Mile finish line inside Leimert Park Plaza (4395 Leimert Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90008).
BAG CHECK
Bag check is available for participants only and located adjacent to the Crenshaw Mile finish line. One bag per participant. Everything you check must be in a bag, as bags are not supplied.

*Consolidate your bags. If you have more than one bag, put them all in a bigger bag, or make sure they are connected to each other. Tie the handles together with a necktie, use a bungee cord, take off your shirt and use it as a rope. Be creative!
*Don't store your water bottle (or anything else) in the holder on the outside of your bag. They have a habit of falling out.
*Don't check anything super valuable. We are not responsible for any theft or damages.
GO METRO
Go Metro to the Crenshaw Mile. Going Metro to the Mile road race as a participant is easy and convenient with two Metro K Line train stations just steps from the route. The starting line is located at the Go Metro K-Line Hyde Park/Nipsey Hussle Square station. The finish line is 1-block from the K-Line Leimert Park Station. Go Metro TAP cards will be provided to participants on a first come, first served basis while supplies last. For details, please see here.
Take ride share to the Crenshaw Mile. Starting line drop off locations are Slauson Ave near Brynhurst Ave (Westside) or Slauson Ave near 11th St (Eastside). Finish line drop off locations: S. Victoria Ave near Olympiad (Westside) or W. Vernon near 11th Ave (Eastside)

PARKING & STREET CLOSURES
If you choose to park, you may navigate around street closures for street parking. Please see details about street closure below. We highly recommend parking near the finish line and taking Go Metro to the start. Go Metro TAP cards will be provided to participants first come, first served while supplies last.

RACE DETAILS
Please plan to arrive 90 minutes before your scheduled race time to ensure a smooth transition into The Crenshaw Mile experience.
Same day registration and packet pick-up will take place at the Athlete’s Village located near 3421 W Slauson Ave
Porta Potties are located within the Athlete’s Village & Finishers Village
Water is provided by Heartbreak LA. There will be water near the starting line and at the finish line.
AWARDS & MEDALS
We will post race results at the Results Tent and hold an awards ceremony at the Finishers Village at 10:30AM including awards for the top 3 runners in each heat. Age group awards will be awarded at the USATF tent.
RACE CODE OF CONDUCT
Participants should conduct themselves in a courteous manner, and respect all fellow participants, volunteers, event staff, spectators, and members of the community. Runners may not engage in any unsportsmanlike conduct that is abusive, harassing, or insulting. Any participant who conducts themselves in an unsportsmanlike manner to fellow participants, volunteers, event staff, spectators, and members of the community may be disqualified or subject to other appropriate penalties at the discretion of The Crenshaw Mile race directors.
